Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
Cold air trickles in from somewhere unseen, lending a sense of sluggishness to the darkened room. Low mechanical hums and robotic beeps just barely cover up the faint sound of breathing, and the occasional murmur of sleeping, drunken stupor. A small series of clicks serves as the only noise to break up the monotony, but it appears to be enough to disturb several of the room's occupants, who begin to stir in the frigid air beneath their thin, wholly inadequate sheets.
[This thread is an RP Event. All players will wake up in the deep sleep therapy room. Mild restraints are in place on the bed, requiring a TN 5 Athletics(Strength) Skill Roll to break free. If failed, the restraints can be removed with help from another person without a roll. All patients also have an IV drip hooked up to their arms, which will need to be removed prior to exiting the hospital bed. The room is dark, with no visible mirrors within, so players will have to locate a light switch (Investigate(Perception) TN5) before physical descriptions are provided.]

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
It is dark in the Stonedown, and cold, and something pinches in the arm.
A snake? No, too small.
Some kind of stinging insect, then.
Can't reach it. Wrists are restrained, held tight by something in the darkness, cinctures that feel of leather. But the Stonedownors suffer the hubris of their kind, thinking that none others can exert force than they. It is not true, of course, and the bond on one hand snaps. The other falls away, the buckle undone. And the strange long tail of the stinging insect is found, the stinger removed even as it drips some strange fluid.
Poison?
Perhaps, but if so, not one that has a flavor other than a mildly sanguine saltiness.
The bench beneath is cold and metal, smooth; the floor a cold stone that sticks, somehow, on bare feet as they shuffle raggedly, bringing a body to a wall of softer stone. Living in the Stonedown has taught much of rock and soil, and though the echoing hollowness behind the wall is unfamiliar, the slight springiness of gypsum is not. But the strange protuberance the elbow finds and moves, that is a novel thing, and the light blazes into being from above.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
Blinding lifht fills the room as Alonso flips the crude switch into the on position. Anyone currently stirring awake is now rudely ripped from their peaceful repose into wakefulness. Bed after bed lines the inside of the room, each attended to by a small IV unit and some manner of monitoring device. Thin leather straps can be seen on the wrists of each bed's occupant, several of whom appear to be coming to. The air within the room smells faintly of antiseptic, morning breath, and the acrid scent of infected bedsores.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
Sally-Ann woke up and knew the uncertainty of absence. Absence of motion. Absence of sight. Absence of knowing just how it was she had come to be in this place. In this situation. There was an undeniable strangeness to these facts, and an undeniable inclination to lay the blame in a certain direction. But this was of no immediate concern to her. First, she had to undo herself of that which bound her.
Never the strongest sort, she felt the physicality of the act even more acutely. No doubt there was a reason for it. Grogginess from a poor sleep perhaps, if she was going to be generous to the truth. Regardless, she managed it, and swung her feet down onto the floor. There was coldness to the air. And the shuffling noises of... others? She attempted to find some sort of lightswitch, doubtful of how smart it would be to simply call out into the darkness.
TN 5 Athletics (Out of Shape 1): 2d10k2 11 (9 on one of the dice got downgraded to an 8, i believe)
Investigate / Perception (TN5): 5d10o10k3 29
But another had brought light into being.
"W-what?" was all she could utter.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
The quality of the bed he was on could be described as shabby by anyone that is watching Reisija awaken from slumber. Not that it actually was, but the massive body on it that woke and shot up made it seem that way. The right side bed rail is torn clean from the side and flung across the room with a shout that existed between terror and anger. The loud clang of the metal and the man's voice was certainly loud enough to bring anyone that might be in earshot running. Something the big man also seemed to appreciate when he tore the left bed rail off and held it in front of him like a weapon.
But exploding awake like that was always left him lightheaded. He almost fell as he stumbled to a wall and leaned, trying to take stock of his surroundings. He noticed someone standing by a light switch and someone else moving around... threats? He keeps the bed rail between the potential threats.
In the light and finally standing still, the big guys eyes are bloodshot and puffy, possibly from a good amount of crying.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
The light shines down, and tears well up in blinking eyes that roll in their sockets, oscillating in the attempt to take in all through the harsh light.
"What Demondim lore is this, that summons such luminance devoid of warmth and life?"
The voice is strange, nasal, grating.
"My ears, they are bedeviled!"
More blinking, and the tears begin to clear.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
When the lights flashed on he winced and startled awake. His eyes flew open and looked around at what he could see. This wasn't his bedroom and this shitty too small bed wasn't his for sure.
"Ay yo what the fuck?" He exclaimed as he felt the restraints one much higher than the other for some reason.
The straps were thin enough he easily popped free of them but as he flexed one hand he looked to the other and realized in horror that it wasn't there "What the fuck happened to my arm!?" He screamed shock and horror dominating his emotions forgetting or not noticing the others in the moment.

Taking in the sights and freaking out a bit, he notices the IV bags and the drops of blood leading from his bed to his arm. "Shit..."
He keeps the bed rail in hand before moving back to the bed. He tears some of the cloth free from the sheets and wraps his bleeding arm.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
For those currently awake, the following basic descriptions are now available for those viewing them. Please note that without any mirrors, your understanding of your own facial appearanceis limited by what others describe to you.
Reisija: Apparent age 46
Description: A large, muscular man with ratty, unkempt red hair and a beard shot through with silver. He has somewhat square features, and malnourishment doesn't appear to have affected him much yet. His skin is ruddy and freckled and flushes easily.
Tyrell: Apparent age 76
Description: An extremely tall, well-built, but very old black man missing his left arm. He wears a serious, but not hard expression nearly constantly, and the lines of it have been etched into his face over the course of long decades. He is extremely tall, and has something of a commanding air about him and a military bearing. Most of his clothes, which tend to be a size or two too small for him, have paint stains that range from weeks to decades old, speaking of his years of obsession toward the art form and whatever he has seen through it.
Alonso: Apparent age 30
Description: This woman is a moderately-tall asian woman with shoulder-length, lightly wavy dark hair. way more energetic-looking than you would expect of someone in Lakewood Asylum without actually being manic. She stands straight, has a bounce in her step, and speaks rapidly. There’s a sense that she’s somewhat fragile, though, that bright facade ready to break, whether into tears or rage it’s hard to tell.
Sally-Anne: Apparent age 18
Description: A small young woman with limp, dark hair and hollow green eyes. Her gaze seems to look through people rather than at them. She is thin and any limb her mouth can reach is marked with terrible bite marks, clearly self-inflicted. Her skin is covered in a dusting of what are attempting to be freckles, but her overwhelming lack of exposure to the sun have prevented them from realizing the way they normally would.

Re: Wake Me Up, Before You Go Go
"You are not, you are not the, not the Stonedownors," Alonso almost chitters out.
The voice is still strange.
"Who are you? Name yourselves and this strange place, where cold light shines without the Rhadhamaerl."
Eyes squint, trying to make out the faces and forms of others.
